Andrew Besold >> Research Assistant

  Andrew joined the VTC Bike/Ped Team in May of 2006. A graduate of Cook College at Rutgers University, he has a degree in Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resource Management. Andrew is now pursuing a MCRP degree at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy where his focus is bicycle/pedestrian and mass transit planning with an interest in natural resource conservation and environmental planning. He comes to the VTC with 20 years experience as a daily cyclist and even crossed the Alps on an unsupported tour in 2001. He admits to owning at least 8 bicycles.

Did you know? Bike commuting is an excellent source of excercise for the person "on the go"! A 130-pound cyclist burns 402 calories while pedaling 14 miles in an hour while an 180-pound cyclist burns 540 calories while pedaling 14 miles in an hour.
