NJ Walks & Bikes! began as a program sponsored by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). The goals are to increase walking and biking in our state and - eventually - to make New Jersey the most walkable, bikeable state in the nation. The program is designed to benefit all New Jersey residents, with a particular emphasis on children.

Did you know? Almost 80 percent of adult Americans take at least one walk of five minutes or longer during the summer months, while fewer than 30 percent ride a bike.
